LANCE ISADORE A. MARTINEZ
Lance Martinez is a 20-year banking and telecommunication executive managing service operations, credit operations, technology and change management projects. Lance began his career with Citibank Philippines and was exposed to various aspects of the Citibank consumer business.
In 2002, Lance worked at Globe Telecom where he headed the Customer Service group. In 2008, Lance returned to banking at HSBC as Senior Vice President and served as HSBC’s Director to the Bancnet board for several years. Lance graduated from the Ateneo De Manila University and has an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management (scholarship grant from Citibank NA).
Lance works with ALTUS as Head of Process Management and Operations across its platforms.
RICHARD NG
Richard is part of ALTUS’ Business Development and Strategic team responsible primarily for new business development and relationship management in Indonesia and Vietnam. He has 18 years of experience in banking covering treasury and capital market sales and origination, client coverage, private debt financing, and M&A with Deutsche Bank, Nomura, and major shipping banks.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Degree with Honours at Nanyang Technological University, specializing in Financial Analysis.
Daven Patel is a seasoned finance and real estate professional with more than 15 years of experience sourcing, structuring, and analyzing investments across the US and Asia Pacific. He has worked in the treasury function handling capital funding and finance management, special situations team analyzing distressed credit and non-performing loans secured by real estate, and the real estate team, sourcing and investing in opportunistic assets at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch for over 12 years.
He also acts as a Director for a US-based family office focusing on hospitality and residential real estate investments. Daven graduated with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a CFA charter holder.
Daven leads the analysis and execution of ALTUS’ investments across the region.
Pavan is the Founder and CEO of ALTUS Capital and ALTUS Capital Partners.
Over the last 13 years, Pavan has made ALTUS the go-to source in the region for the origination, underwriting, structuring and management of highly illiquid investments in the corporate, small and medium enterprise (SME), and Real Estate sectors, leading to over USD 850 million in disbursements and capital recovery on behalf of institutional investors including investment banks, funds and development finance institutions.
Pavan holds a Bachelor’s degree from De La Salle University in the Philippines, majoring in Management of Financial Institutions.
Ben is the Co-founder and Chairman of Altus Capital.
His professional career started in global banking with 25 years of experience accumulated from Philadelphia National Bank (7 years) in the United States, National Westminster Bank in the US and Europe (3 years), then culminating with Bank of Boston (15 years) where he was the CEO & Country Manager in the Philippines.
He also became Chief Executive of a Philippine commercial bank, Boston Bank of the Philippines in 1987, which he acquired from the Corazon Aquino Administration in one of the first and largest debt-equity transactions. Besides being the youngest Chief Executive of a Philippine commercial bank, he was also twice Chairman of the Offshore Bankers’ Association.
Marty is part of ALTUS’ Business Development and Strategic team, tasked with originating and executing M&A opportunities and fundraising transactions for ALTUS and its partners. Marty has over 15 years of extensive banking experience having headed client coverage, treasury sales and debt capital markets origination for Deutsche Bank (HK, Manila).
Throughout his banking career with Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital (HK) and Nomura (HK), Marty built an extensive network of relationships within the public and private sectors, as well as the financial industry in the Philippines, Hong Kong and Singapore. Marty holds a B.S. Management Engineering degree from Ateneo de Manila University, and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
Jean is responsible for the overall supervision of control, management, and in the establishment of strategies and objectives for the sale, lease, joint venture, and marketing of the properties acquired from different financial institutions and companies managed by ALTUS in the Philippines.
She started her banking career with one of the leading banks in the Philippines, as Loan Portfolio Manager, managing various accounts amounting to USD 250 million and moved to managing and disposing top foreclosed assets with a market value of USD 450 million. She has been in the real estate industry in the Philippines for 20 years and has strong local network with property brokers, agents, managers and other third parties
Jean obtained a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management and finished her MBA in 1997.
Jeffrey has over 15 years of experience in real estate development across different sectors in the United States, China, and Southeast Asia.
He is the head of real estate development of ALTUS Capital Partners, overseeing the overall project development from feasibility to completion of the project in the entire portfolio. Jeff also assists in the acquisition of new projects, allowing the ALTUS team to price and diligence assets from a development approach.Prior to joining ALTUS, he spent 10 years with leading developers in Hong Kong as senior project manager. During this period, he managed a series of ground-up, mega mixed-use developments in China. Jeffrey spent 13 years in the United States and started his career in renowned international architectural firms such as SOM, Greenberg Farrow, and Robert A.M. Stern. Jeffrey holds Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Master of Science in Real Estate from Columbia University of New York.
Krisada is Managing Director at Altus Capital and Thailand Country Officer of ALTUS Capital. Krisada brings on board a distinguished career in Thailand’s banking, real estate and telecom space as former Chairman and Director of the Executive Board of state-owned public utility company CAT Telecom and the Islamic Bank of Thailand. Under the Ministry of Finance, Krisada led the development of government housing and office projects in Thailand as the Executive Director of Dhanarak Asset Development. Currently, Krisada serves on the Board to Krungthep Thanakom Company Limited, 100% owned by the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority of Thailand.
Before entering public service, Krisada led several high-profile transactions in the private sector as former Managing Director of Capital Advisory Services and Investment Advisor to Lehman Brothers in Thailand. During his tenure, Krisada was responsible for over USD 1 billion in recoveries in Thailand’s non-performing loan sector and another USD 1 billion in direct real estate investments across the country. Prior to this, Krisada was with GE Capital where he worked on corporate and structured finance transactions across North America. Krisada holds an MBA from the Kenan- Flagler Business School in North Carolina, USA and is a graduate (with Honors) from Thammasat University, Thailand.
